MARMOMACC
VERONA, ITALY

Each year the largest stone and paving exhibition in Europe is held at the Veronafiera in Italy. The annual Marmomacc Show attracts thousands of exhibitors and importers from all corners of the world. It is widely considered to be the most important show within the paving industry due to its vast size (over a square kilometre) and diversity of products on show.

In 2008, Hutchinsons were contracted by an Indian exhibitor to construct their innovative World of Stone display. As regular visitors to the Glee Show in Birmingham's NEC, the directors of the Indian company were so impressed by the quality of our Global Stone displays (featured elseware on this website) that they contracted us to fly out to Italy and assist in the construction of their display. The week long build was extremely tough, with each day lasting well over twelve hours, but the end result was enthusiastically received and attracted a great deal of positive enquiries throughout the show.

In 2010, World of Stone returned to Marmomacc and again flew a team from Hutchinsons to Italy to re-create their modified stand, this year featuring a 6 tonne stone wall over 8' tall as it's main backdrop.

With the landscaping calendar including similar shows in Brazil and Russia, who knows where we may get the opportunity to visit next.
