Having the grounds around a development project properly landscaped (no matter how small the area) will not only enhance the building by making it more attractive, but may also add value to the whole development.

Poplar Landscapes offer a complete design and build package, whereby we can combine the client's/architect's ideas with our experience to create unique outside areas which will be enjoyed for years into the future.

THE DESIGN PACKAGE

Initial Site Visit
A preliminary consultation, (meeting on site if necessary) to discuss initial ideas and client requirements. We make no charge for this first meeting but agree a fee rate at this stage for the remaining survey and design work (normally around £45/hr + VAT).

Site Survey (if not supplied by the client)
A record of the site, detailing all relevant information such as boundaries, existing features for retention / removal, aspect, access, etc.

Concept Drawing
An initial scaled drawing of the design is forwarded to the client for review, A few days before a follow up meeting to refine the scheme & finalise ideas. If the scheme incorporates a show garden, then this follow up meeting often takes place in our Landscape Studio allowing the final refining details to be discussed. This visit to the studio is also an opportunity to view and select materials.

Final Drawing
The finished, fully annotated working drawings will be produced along with an estimate of the construction costs for budgetary purposes.

Installation
Poplar Landscapes offer a design & build package, whereby if Poplar are commissioned to install the landscape scheme, they will waive the design fee.

Project Supervision
Poplar Landscapes will also undertake a programme of inspections & compile reports, should another landscape company be selected to undertake the installation.
